Play is the natural language of children. Observation of that play by a therapist gives them access to the child's inner world. Child Centered Play Therapy is a process where the child leads the way. Through a process of tracking and validating the child's efforts, the therapist lets the child know they have the ability to solve problems. This validating and non-judgmental environment, builds a relationship with the therapist and establishes limits that create a safe space for the child to explore their feelings non-verbally and come to their own solutions.
